ABOUT

Sherry Wilborn is a native of rural North Carolina. Since 2013, she's been involved in rural economic development in the Triangle Region. Her experience spans industry recruitment, industrial site development, contract negotiation, and construction project management. During her 4-year tenure as the Director of Economic Development for Person County, she secured more than $90 million in capital investment and a record number of job commitments.

Sherry knows the challenges of rural communities and seeks to be a resource for small businesses, property owners, and local governments.

Sherry has an AAS in Information Systems, has acquired the nationally-recognized Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) credential, and is a North Carolina Real Estate Broker offering Commercial Real Estate through her affiliation with APG Advisors. 

​

Sherry is a member of the North Carolina Economic Development Association (NCEDA), the International Economic Development Council (IEDC), and serves on the Board of Directors for Roxboro Savings Bank, which celebrates its 100th year in 2023.
